STYROSä
media
are available in different sizes and performance series. The matrix is a highly
crosslinked polymeric that is fully pervious. The average pore size is
1000 to 2000 A° .
|

|
STYROS™
media are offered pre-packed in stainless steel columns of
various sizes as described for each product.
|
 |
They can also be ordered in PEEK
version .
|
The selection should be based on the intended application as
well as the chromatography system to be used.
The
XH class
are intended for analytical applications (Nominal bead size 5 m
m).
The
XP class
are recommended as a first step analytical columns towards scale up for semi
preparative and preparative applications at the laboratory level (Nominal bead
size 15 m m).
The
XM
series offer another variance that allows the seamless scale up to
laboratory-scale prep. with low pressure columns (Nominal bead size 25 m
m).
The
NB or
Narrow Bore class is a set of packing that we offer for those applications where
small column volumes are needed. The high pressure tolerance of
STYROSä media is a key factor that
makes it possible to prepare columns up to 250 mm of length (Nominal bead size 5 m
m).
The
MB
or
Micro Bore class that is offered in 1 mm ID columns
(Nominal bead size 5 m m).
The uB or Micron Bore
(0.75 to 0.5 mm ID columns) along with the nB
or Nano Bore(<500 µm ID columns) are intended for use in LC-MS applications
(Nominal bead size 5 µm).
STYROS™
Polymeric media in
Nano and
Micro
Trap Columns format. These include over 600
different products. The immobilized enzyme (StyrosZyme™) are also part of
this new set.
STYROS™
and
StyrosZyme™
Polymeric media are also offered in Fused Silica
capillary columns for use with Upchurch
Capillary column holder.
The new class of Simulated Monolith™
columns introduced in 2003 is also offered in different column sizes and types.
It allows their use in HPLC as well as FPLC.
