  • Product summary:

STYROS™ MC-IDA & MC-TED are two variations of metal chelate chemistry providing the chromatographer  more options.
The base matrix that is fully pervious is made of highly crosslinked poly(styrene-divinylbenzene).
Our proprietary polymerization technique ensures that the beads are not brittle and as a result, free of leachables.
The unique macroporous structure takes full advantage of the inner bead's surface area making it possible to run high speed, high resolution separation without any mass transfer restrictions.
STYROS™ MC-IDA & MC-TED each provides optimum static and dynamic capacities to enable high resolutions during analytical and preparative separations.
They both offer extremely high pressure tolerance, and can be used routinely up to 4,000 psi.
High resolution separations can be achieved at high, as well as low flow rates.
The goal has been to provide seamless series of stationary phases that could facilitate the transition from analytical to semi preparative and preparative applications, all within the same products.
Our proprietary column packing are geared towards providing high batch to batch reproducibility.

  • Key Features:

Feature 1:

Optimum ionic capacity (measured with CuSO4)

up to 50 ųmole/ml

Feature 2:

Although we have used pressures of up to 10,000 psi without irreversibly altering the structure of the beads, we recommend the following pressure limits:

4,000 psi for the XH series,

3,000 psi for the XP and XM series.

4,000 psi for the NB series

4,000 psi for the MB series

Feature 3:

No measurable shrinking and/or swelling due to highly crosslinked nature of the beads.
