FYI NOTE

A simple alternative to reduce sample consumption and waste generation by over 40%.

Chromatogram 1

Chromatogram 2

Although similar chromatographic results can be obtained by using larger bore columns, Narrow Bore columns with STYROS™ stationary phases can be used to reduce the amount of sample injected as well as the waste generated during separations.

Since the stationary phase has very unique flow characteristics, namely the maintenance of resolution at high flow rates and the tolerance of back pressures as high as 5,000 psi, no additional time is required when using the STYROS™ Narrow Bore series.

Moreover, as shown in the chromatograms, the same instrument set up with a standard flow cell is adequate for such chromatographic runs.

The STYROS™ Narrow Bore series is OraChrom’s answer to today’s business concerns: environmental issues and laboratory costs.
